Singapore Visa Photo Size
Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority asks for a pixel size nobody else uses, 400 × 514 px, and a photo no older than three months. This page exports exactly that file on a white background, and the same crop prints at 35 × 45 mm when an embassy wants paper.

Quality is lowered until the photo is at or just under this size; tiny files are padded up to the spec's minimum.
300 DPI is the print standard for passport photos; a 35×45 mm photo is then 413×531 px.
Place several copies on a 4×6 in (10×15 cm) photo print or an A4 page, ready for a photo kiosk or home printer.
How many photos on the sheet. A 4×6 in print fits 6 photos of 2×2 in or 6 of 35×45 mm; an A4 sheet fits more.
How to use this tool
- 1
Take the photo this month
ICA's three-month window is half the usual six, so do not reuse the picture from a trip last year. Face the camera on a plain wall in daylight.
- 2
Keep the Singapore preset
Singapore visa — 35×45 mm sets the 400 × 514 px frame, Background to White and Auto-centre face on, so your eyes and chin land where ICA expects them.
- 3
Download the JPG
Press Make and attach the file to the visa application, or hand it to the local contact or visa agent filing for you.
Singapore visa photo size: 400 × 514 px
400 × 514pixels, width × height, ICA's preferred photo dimension
The odd numbers come from ICA's own system rather than a print standard: 400 × 514 px is close to the 35 × 45 mm ratio, at about 290 DPI rather than the usual 300. ICA calls it the preferred dimension, not a hard limit, so a file a few pixels off is not automatically refused, but matching it exactly removes one reason for a query.
The preset does three things: it crops to 400 × 514 px, places the face using standard passport proportions, and replaces the wall with White. It cannot make an old photo new, so the three-month rule is on you. A passport size print for a Singapore passport size photo sheet comes from the same file with Print layout set to 4 × 6 in.

Singapore visa photo questions
What is the Singapore visa photo size in pixels?
400 px wide by 514 px high, which ICA names as its preferred dimension for photo uploads. The preset exports exactly that, so there is nothing to resize afterwards.
How recent must a photo for Singapore be?
Taken within the last three months. That is stricter than the six months most countries allow, and it is a common reason applications are returned, so take a fresh photo for each application.
Which file types and sizes does ICA accept for the photo?
ICA's own answer lists JPG, JPEG, HEIC, HEIF and PNG files of up to 8 MB. JPG is the safe choice for agents and older forms; a 400 × 514 px JPG from this page is far below the limit.
Can I reuse my Malaysian or Indian passport size photo?
A Malaysian 35 × 50 mm photo is the wrong shape. An Indian 35 × 45 mm print has the right frame, but it must also be on white and less than three months old. The Malaysia visa photo size page covers the Malaysian format.
Can I wear glasses in a Singapore visa photo?
Plain glasses are usually accepted if there is no glare and the frames do not cover the eyes; tinted lenses are not. ICA's photo guidelines are updated from time to time, so check the current guidance, or take them off.
