Saudi Visa Photo Size

Saudi Arabia uses the tall 4 × 6 cm portrait, the same proportion as Vietnam and unlike the 35 × 45 mm frame of Europe and India. Upload a photo and the page crops it to that frame on plain white for a tourist eVisa, an Umrah application or the papers an employer files for a work visa.

How to use this tool

  1. 1

    Photograph with an even face

Stand before a plain wall, face the lens, eyes open and mouth closed. Women may keep a headscarf as long as the face from forehead to chin shows.

  2. 2

    Crop to 4 × 6 cm

The page opens on Saudi Arabia visa — 4×6 cm with a White Background. Auto-centre face places the head and shoulders in the taller frame.

  3. 3

    Upload or hand over prints

Download the JPG for the online application, or set Print layout to 4×6 in sheet for prints an agent or employer has asked for.

The tourist eVisa is now the route for most leisure visitors, including those performing Umrah outside the Hajj season. Work, residence and family visas still begin with a sponsor in the Kingdom, who files the request; you then supply a photo, passport copy and medical results.

Whichever route you take, the photo is a 4 × 6 cm color portrait on white. The frame is taller than most, so it shows the top of the shoulders and leaves space above the head. Pixel and file limits differ between the eVisa, Nusuk and agency systems and are revised from time to time, so check the current guidance on the screen you upload to.

Saudi eVisa photo and the white background

A white background is the one rule every Saudi channel shares, so set Background to White even if your wall looks pale; cream and grey walls read as colored next to the passport scan. Traveling with family means one photo per person, children included. For young children, the tips in baby and infant passport photo rules help get eyes open and the face square. For other Middle East frames, see the Turkey visa photo size page.

Saudi visa photo questions

Does the Saudi tourist eVisa need a photo upload?

Yes. The online form asks for a recent personal photo alongside your passport details, and it checks the image before you pay. Upload the 4 × 6 cm JPG from this page; if the form shows a file limit, set it with Limit file size.

Can women wear a hijab in a Saudi visa photo?

Yes. A headscarf worn for religious reasons is accepted as long as the face is fully visible from the hairline to the chin and the edges of the face are clear. Avoid patterned or white scarves against the white background so the outline stays visible.

What photo do I need for an Umrah visa?

Umrah can be done on the tourist eVisa outside the Hajj season or on an Umrah visa arranged through the Nusuk platform or a licensed agent. Both use a recent color portrait on white; use the same 4 × 6 cm file for each traveler in the group.

Is the Saudi visa photo the same size as the UAE one?

No. The UAE commonly asks for 43 × 55 mm, which is wider and shorter. Crop each from the original picture; the UAE visa photo size page has that frame.

Can I wear glasses in a Saudi visa photo?

Take them off. Saudi visa guidance asks for a clear view of the eyes, and frames or reflections are a common reason a photo is refused at upload or at the embassy.

My employer is processing my work visa. Should I send prints or a file?

Ask which they need. Agencies usually want a digital JPG for the application and sometimes printed copies for medical and attestation steps. A 4 × 6 in sheet from this page gives several matching prints.
