About UltKit
UltKit is a free, browser-based toolkit for the small file jobs that get in the way of real work: a photo that must be under 50 KB, a PDF a portal refuses because it is 2.3 MB, a HEIC that will not open on a work laptop.
What UltKit does
Every tool on this site takes a file in, changes one thing about it and gives the result back. Image compression to an exact kilobyte target, resizing to precise pixel or centimetre dimensions, PDF compression and conversion, document, e-book and data format conversion, audio and video conversion, QR codes, archives, fonts and subtitles. The full list is in the header menu, grouped into six categories.
Each tool page is built around a specific outcome rather than a generic converter. The page for compressing a photo to 20 KB knows which Indian exam portals ask for that limit and what resolution survives it; the page for HEIC to JPG explains why an iPhone photo will not open in Windows and what you lose, if anything, in the conversion.
How your files are handled
Files are uploaded over HTTPS to our processing servers, converted, and offered back for download. Every uploaded and converted file is deleted automatically 30 minutes after processing. We do not read, index, sell or train anything on your files, and nobody on the team looks at them. The privacy policy lists exactly what is logged and for how long, and how it works walks through the whole process step by step.
There are no accounts and nothing to install. The site is funded by advertising, which keeps the tools free and keeps us from needing to charge or to collect personal data beyond what the ads themselves require.
Why we built it
Most converter sites were designed around a single generic upload box. The people who use them, however, arrive with a very specific requirement: a form that says 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm and under 50 KB, an email gateway capped at 25 MB, a Discord limit of 10 MB. UltKit starts from those requirements. Each page states the target, applies sensible defaults for it, and explains the trade-offs in plain language so you can trust the result before you submit it somewhere that matters.
The site is available in 40 languages. Interface text and guidance are localised, and where a country has its own photo or document standard, the relevant pages carry that country's numbers.
Who is behind UltKit
UltKit is operated by UltKit, a small team that builds and runs consumer web tools. We write the guidance on each page ourselves, check the specifications against the issuing authority or platform, and update pages when a requirement changes.
