White space around each image: small is 5 mm, medium 10 mm, large 20 mm. Ignored when page size is the same as the image.
Fit shows the whole image with white space if the shapes differ; fill covers the page and crops the edges; actual size places it at its print size from DPI.
Put 2 or 4 images on each page in a grid, for ID cards front and back or contact sheets.
Custom page width in millimetres (A4 is 210 mm).
Custom page height in millimetres (A4 is 297 mm).
One PDF with a page per image, or a separate PDF for every image downloaded as a ZIP.
The order you added the files (drag to rearrange), alphabetical by file name, or by the date the photo was taken.
JPEG quality of photos inside the PDF. 85 keeps them sharp; with a target size this is the starting point.
How to use this tool
- 1
Upload the SVG files
Add up to 50 drawings, 95 MB each. Exports from Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape and chart libraries all work.
- 2
Choose the page
Page size is Same as image, so the page matches the drawing, and Output gives one PDF per file. Pick A4 or Letter with a Margin to place a logo on a printable sheet, or set Output to One PDF to collect a set.
- 3
Convert to PDF
Press Convert to PDF and download the files or the ZIP. Uploads are deleted after 30 minutes.
What is the quickest way to convert SVG to PDF?
Upload the SVG, leave Page size on Same as image and press Convert to PDF. You get a PDF page the size of the drawing, ready to email, print or add to a document.
Who needs to convert SVG to PDF
SVG became a W3C Recommendation in 2001 and is now the standard for logos, icons and charts on the web. Browsers render it perfectly, but it is a poor format to hand to people outside that world. Email clients often block SVG attachments for security reasons, office suites import it unevenly, and clients reviewing a logo want to open it in the same viewer as the rest of the brief.
PDF, standardized as ISO 32000 in 2008, is that common viewer. Designers send logo proofs as PDF, developers export architecture diagrams for documentation, and teachers print worksheets drawn in vector tools. Cutting-machine users convert designs when a print-and-cut service asks for a PDF proof alongside the file. If you are going the other way and need to trace a bitmap into vectors, see our guide on converting PNG to SVG.

Scalable Vector Graphics
SVG is an XML-based vector format standardised by the W3C in 2001. Instead of pixels it describes shapes, paths and text, so it stays sharp at any size and is usually tiny for logos and icons. It supports transparency, CSS styling, scripting and animation, and every browser renders it natively. SVG is unsuitable for photographs, and complex illustrations can become slow to render. Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma and browsers can open and edit it.

Portable Document Format
PDF was created by Adobe in 1993 and became the open ISO 32000 standard in 2008. It fixes text, fonts, images and layout so a document looks the same on every screen and printer. PDFs can contain forms, signatures, links, attachments and searchable text, and the PDF/A variant is used for long-term archiving. The fixed layout makes PDFs hard to edit, and scanned PDFs contain only images unless OCR is applied. Every browser and operating system can open them.

SVG files are made for screens and code; turning one into a PDF gives clients, printers and document systems a page they can open, comment on and print without design software.
Prepare the SVG before converting
Fonts and linked images do not travel with an SVG
Text in an SVG names a font family, and pictures can be linked by path instead of embedded. Before exporting, convert text to outlines (Illustrator: Type > Create Outlines; Inkscape: Path > Object to Path) and embed any images, or the PDF may show a fallback font or an empty box.
The 72 column above is worth knowing. PDF measures pages in points, and one point is 1/72 inch, so an A4 page is 595 × 842 points. SVG and CSS define a pixel as 1/96 inch instead. A drawing declared as 800 × 600 px therefore measures 8.33 × 6.25 in, which is the page you get with Page size on Same as image. When the PDF has to match paper, choose A4 or Letter and the drawing is scaled to fit inside the Margin you set.
Exports from design tools sometimes carry a huge empty canvas around a small logo. Trim the artboard to the artwork before exporting, otherwise the page will be mostly white. If the finished PDF is heavier than expected, usually because the SVG embeds a large photo, set PDF file size to Target size or follow our notes on compressing a PDF without losing quality.
SVG to PDF converter FAQ
How do I convert SVG to PDF without Illustrator?
Upload the SVG here and press Convert to PDF. No vector editor is involved; the drawing is rendered onto a PDF page sized by the options you pick. Inkscape, which is free, can also save PDFs if you prefer a desktop app.
Why is my SVG to PDF converter result showing the wrong font?
SVG text names a font but usually does not embed it, so the renderer uses a substitute when that font is not available. Convert the text to outlines in your editor before exporting the SVG, and the letters become fixed shapes.
Can I put several SVG icons into one PDF?
Yes. Set Output to One PDF and Images per page to 2 or 4 to build a contact sheet, or keep one icon per page for a brand guideline. Use Page order to sort them by file name.
Why is the SVG image inside my drawing missing in the PDF?
SVGs can link to a raster image by URL or file path instead of embedding it. Only the SVG file is uploaded, so linked files cannot be found. Embed the image in your editor, or export the SVG with images included.
Does an animated SVG stay animated in the PDF?
No. PDF pages are static, and scripts and CSS animations in the SVG are not run. The page shows the drawing in its initial state, so make sure that state is the one you want to print.
Is SVG or PDF better for sending a logo to a printer?
Ask the printer. Many prefer PDF because their workflow is built on it and fonts and colors can be checked in preflight. Some sign and vinyl-cutting shops ask for the original SVG or EPS so their software can follow the paths.
