1x1 Picture Maker
A 1x1 picture is the small square ID photo that schools, offices and employers in the Philippines ask for by the handful. Upload one photo and this page crops it to 1 × 1 inch on white, then fills a 4 × 6 print with copies you can cut apart.

Quality is lowered until the photo is at or just under this size; tiny files are padded up to the spec's minimum.
300 DPI is the print standard for passport photos; a 35×45 mm photo is then 413×531 px.
Place several copies on a 4×6 in (10×15 cm) photo print or an A4 page, ready for a photo kiosk or home printer.
How many photos on the sheet. A 4×6 in print fits 6 photos of 2×2 in or 6 of 35×45 mm; an A4 sheet fits more.
How to use this tool
- 1
Take a head-and-shoulders photo
Wear a collared top, face the camera and stand in front of a light wall. A 1 inch square is tiny, so the face must be sharp and evenly lit.
- 2
Check the crop
Country & document is set to Philippines 1 × 1 in and Background to White. Auto-centre face places the head; adjust it by hand if your hair is cut off.
- 3
Print the sheet
Print layout is a 4 × 6 in sheet with 16 copies and Cut lines. Change Copies if you need more or fewer, then press Make.
1x1 means 1 × 1 inch: a square about 2.5 cm wide, 300 × 300 px at print resolution, usually on a white background with the head and the top of the shoulders in frame.

The three sizes look similar in a list and very different in a wallet. A 1x1 photo has less than a third of the area of a 2x2, so the face is small and every flaw shows: a shadow under the chin or a slightly blurred eye is easy to see once printed. Use the sharpest photo you have and light from the front.
Filipino forms are not consistent about which size they want. School enrollment, company IDs, club memberships and many barangay and local office forms ask for 1x1; others ask for 2x2 or passport size, sometimes with a name tag and a set number of copies. Read the exact wording on your form before printing, and if it says 2 × 2, make that instead on the 2x2 photo page.
Where a 1x1 ID picture is usually asked for
School and university
Enrollment forms, library cards and student IDs, often several copies per semester.
Employment
Company ID cards and HR files; some employers want 2x2 for the file and 1x1 for the card.
Local offices
Many municipal and barangay forms; check whether a name tag is required.
Memberships
Gyms, clubs and associations that print a small photo on a card.

1x1 picture questions
What is the size of a 1x1 picture in cm and pixels?
1 × 1 inch is 2.54 × 2.54 cm, which shops round to 2.5 × 2.5 cm. In pixels it is 300 × 300 px at 300 DPI, the resolution photo labs print at.
Can I add a name tag under my 1x1 picture?
This page does not add text. If a school or office asks for a picture with name tag, print it at a photo shop that adds the strip, or write your full name on the back if they allow that instead.
Do I need a 1x1 picture for a Philippine passport?
No. The DFA takes your photo at the passport appointment, so you bring none. The same goes for the Philippine national ID, whose photo is captured during registration.
Is a 1x1 picture the same as a passport size picture?
No. Passport size in the Philippines usually means 3.5 × 4.5 cm, which is what civil service forms and the Personal Data Sheet ask for. Use the passport size photo maker for that one.
How many 1x1 pictures fit on a 4 × 6 print?
Up to 24 in theory, since 1 inch fits four times across and six times down, but cut lines and margins take space. Sixteen copies leave room for clean cuts; raise Copies if you want to fill the sheet more tightly.
Can I use a 1x1 picture as a profile photo?
Yes, the file is a plain 300 × 300 px square JPG. If you do not need the white background and face placement, resize image to 300x300 keeps your original background.
