RAW to JPG Converter
Raw files hold everything the camera sensor recorded, which is exactly why phones, browsers and photo labs cannot open them. Convert them to JPG here, whatever the brand of camera, and get pictures you can share, print or upload.

85 keeps photos visually identical to the original. Lower it only when you need a smaller file.
JPG, BMP and EPS have no transparency. Transparent pixels are filled with this color.
Hex color used behind transparent pixels, e.g. #FFFFFF.
This format holds a single image. Choose GIF or WebP output if you want to keep the animation.
A multi-size icon contains several resolutions in one file; browsers and operating systems pick the one they need.
Keep the original dimensions, or enter one side and the aspect ratio is kept.
Pixels for the side you chose above.
Percentage of the original dimensions.
sRGB is right for screens and the web. Keep the original for print workflows; grayscale discards color.
Metadata only, 0 keeps the original value. Printers and some portals read this number; it does not change pixel dimensions.
How to use this tool
- 1
Upload the raw files
Add up to 20 files from the memory card or your photo folder. Each can be up to 95 MB, enough for files from high-resolution bodies.
- 2
Keep quality high
Quality starts at 92 so fine detail from the sensor survives. Camera data is kept by default; switch on Strip metadata under Advanced settings before posting publicly.
- 3
Convert and download
Press Convert to JPG. Each raw file becomes one JPG, or download the whole batch as a ZIP.
A raw file is not a picture yet. It is a record of light values from the sensor plus instructions for turning them into one. Converting to JPG does that development step and fixes the result into a file every device reads.
Convert RAW to JPG from Canon, Nikon, Sony and other cameras
There is no single raw format. Every camera maker invented its own, and they keep revising them. Nikon has used NEF since 1999, Canon moved from CR2 to CR3 in 2018 with its newer bodies, Sony writes ARW, Fujifilm RAF, Panasonic RW2, Pentax PEF and Olympus, now OM System, ORF. Adobe published DNG in 2004 as an open alternative, and it is the format the iPhone uses for Apple ProRAW and that Google Pixel phones write when raw capture is on.
These files share one structure: a mosaic of single-color sensor readings, usually 12 or 14 bits each, and a block of maker-specific settings. Phones, browsers, messaging apps, online print services and most upload forms cannot read any of them, and even desktop software needs regular updates to understand the newest camera models. A JPG solves that, at the cost of fixing the look of the picture in place.
If you work mainly with one brand, the dedicated pages explain its quirks, such as CR2 to JPG for older Canon bodies. This page takes all of them in one batch, which is useful after a trip where several cameras and a phone were shooting together.

How the raw to JPG converter develops each file
Read the sensor mosaic
Most sensors measure only red, green or blue at each pixel. The decoder fills in the two missing values from neighboring pixels, a step called demosaicing.
Apply standard settings
A standard tone curve and white balance are applied, and the colors are mapped to sRGB so they look right on phones and the web. No manual editing happens here.
Write an 8-bit JPG
The image is reduced to 256 levels per channel, compressed at the quality you chose and saved with the camera's EXIF data unless you strip it.
RAW
Camera raw image
"RAW" is a general name for unprocessed image files saved by digital cameras and some phones, and it is also used as a literal .raw extension by a few manufacturers. Each brand has its own variant, such as CR3 for Canon, NEF for Nikon and ARW for Sony. Raw files keep the full sensor data, giving much more latitude for exposure and colour correction than a JPEG. They are large, cannot be displayed on websites, and need editing software or a converter to become a normal photo.

JPG
JPEG image
JPEG (or JPG) is the most widely used photo format, standardised by the Joint Photographic Experts Group in 1992. It uses lossy compression that discards fine detail the eye is unlikely to notice, which keeps photos small enough for the web, email and phone storage. It handles smooth gradients and natural scenes well, but sharp text, line art and flat colours pick up visible blocky or fuzzy artefacts. JPEG has no transparency and no animation, and every re-save loses a little more quality. Every browser, phone, camera and image editor can open it.

Raw files are converted to JPG once the shoot is done and the pictures have to leave the camera owner's computer, for sharing, printing or uploading; there is no path back from JPG to raw.
RAW to JPG questions
Which raw formats can this converter open?
Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, Fujifilm RAF, Olympus and OM System ORF, Pentax PEF, Panasonic RW2 and Adobe DNG, which is also what many phones save. You can mix files from different cameras in one batch of up to 20.
Why does my converted JPG look flatter than the camera's own JPG?
The camera applies its own picture style, sharpening and contrast curve when it writes a JPG, and those settings are stored as instructions that only the manufacturer's software fully reproduces. A third-party decoder starts from the neutral sensor data. A quick contrast or saturation tweak in any photo app usually closes the gap.
Can I change exposure or white balance before converting?
Not here. The converter develops the raw data with standard settings and offers quality, resize, metadata and color space options only. For exposure, highlight recovery or white balance work, edit in Lightroom, Capture One, darktable or the camera maker's free software first.
How large will the JPG files be?
Much smaller than the raw files. A 24-megapixel raw file is typically 25–30 MB, and the JPG at quality 92 typically lands around 6–10 MB depending on detail. Lower quality, or resize the image to 3000 px on the long side, to bring it down to 1–2 MB for email.
Should I delete my raw files after converting?
Keep them. The JPG has thrown away the extra bit depth and highlight information for good, and you cannot get it back from the JPG later. Storage is cheap compared to reshooting.
Can Windows show raw files without converting them?
Windows 10 and 11 display thumbnails and previews of many raw formats after you install Microsoft's free Raw Image Extension from the Microsoft Store. That helps you browse, but anyone you send the files to still needs a JPG.
