Text Tools
Eight small tools for the chores that come up whenever text moves between apps: fixing line breaks from a PDF, cleaning a list, changing case, comparing two drafts. Each one runs as you type, in this tab, without sending a single character anywhere.

Why plain-text tools still matter
Most text problems are not writing problems; they are transport problems. A paragraph copied out of a PDF keeps the line breaks of the page column it came from. A list exported from a spreadsheet arrives with duplicates and in the order rows were added, not the order you need. A heading typed in a hurry is in the wrong case for the style guide. Word processors can fix some of this with macros, but a focused tool that shows the result next to the input is faster and easier to check.
All eight tools share the same layout: input on the left, result on the right, live counts of characters, words and lines under both, and buttons to copy the result or save it as a .txt file. Counts treat an emoji or an accented letter built from several code points as one character, the way a reader sees it.

Which tool for which job
Use Remove Line Breaks for text pasted from PDFs, emails and terminal output, and keep the paragraph option on so blank lines survive. Use Remove Duplicate Lines and Sort Lines together to turn a messy list of names, tags or URLs into a clean, ordered one; natural sorting puts file2 before file10 the way people expect, while plain alphabetical order does not.
The Case Converter covers both editorial styles (Title Case, Sentence case) and identifier styles used in code (camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case). Text Compare shows exactly what changed between two versions of a contract, a config file or an essay. Lorem Ipsum fills mockups, the Text Repeater produces test strings, and Reverse Text handles palindromes, puzzles and mirrored lines.
What happens to your text
Nothing leaves the page. The transformations are plain JavaScript running in your browser; there is no server round-trip, no account and no log of what you pasted. That makes the tools safe for drafts, customer lists and internal documents. If you need statistics rather than transformations (reading time, keyword density, character limits for social posts), the Word Counter analyses text the same way, locally.

Frequently asked questions
- Are the text tools free to use without limits?
- Yes. There is no sign-up and no daily cap. The only practical limit is your device's memory; the repeater caps its output at two million characters so the tab stays responsive.
- Do the text tools work offline?
- Once the page has loaded, every tool keeps working without a connection, because all processing happens in the browser tab.
- Why do my character counts differ from another site?
- Many counters count UTF-16 code units, so one emoji can count as two or more characters. UltKit counts grapheme clusters, the characters a reader actually sees, which matches how most people count.
- Can I chain several text tools together?
- Copy the result of one tool and paste it into the next. A common chain is Remove Line Breaks, then Remove Duplicate Lines, then Sort Lines for cleaning up lists pulled from documents.
- Which line endings do the tools understand?
- Windows (CRLF), Unix and macOS (LF) and old Mac (CR) line endings are all recognised as line breaks. Results are written with LF, which every modern editor reads.
